Hello, welcome to Adorable Afghans, and thank you for stopping by!

I taught myself to crochet while awaiting the birth of my first child, and finished my first baby afghan just in time to bring her home from the hospital in it. Through the years, I have taught my mother, step daughter, and 2 grandchildren how to crochet, and have made numerous well received gifts for family and friends. For me, one of the best parts of creating these beautiful and practical crochet afghans has been in the giving of them.

My afghans have been described as being of heirloom quality, beautiful, cloud-soft, snuggly warm; they have been cherished by adults and children alike, have withstood years of love, washings, and being dragged around by sleepy eyed toddlers who have insisted their afghans go where they go.

Now that my children are grown, I have more time to devote to my love of crochet, which is and has always been a very relaxing as well as creative outlet for me. However, as my home could very quickly fill up with these lovely afghans, I have decided to take suggestions from others that I had never before seriously considered – to sell them online, so that others may experience the joy of owning one of these lovingly handcrafted afghans for themselves, or to proudly give as the perfect gift.

My husband, a very caring and supportive man, came up with the name Adorable Afghans. He says the name just fits. And so it is.

As always, each and every afghan that I create is lovingly crafted as if it were being made for someone special – and indeed it is.
